We played all through primary school, secondary school, university. He even waited for me until i came back from Japan. I’m so glad i personally saw him go, with me around him.

Remembering when he was a puppy, he used to steal my shoes & hid with it under the car. Then i would crawl under to retrieve it while he comes licking my face.haha. I used to remember sharing half my Fillet O’Fish always when i buy them. Peel longan to eat together. Play catch. Play fetch. Take walks. Sing!

Do you know Charlie can sing too? For those of you who have known Charlie, what an amazing feat right. He howls while i play the piano. Just two days ago i was playing the guitar with him sitting around me.haha.

They say a dog is a man’s best friend. How true the saying is.

11th of July, yesterday evening, was the day i had to make a decision, to put him to sleep. Dinner was served. I found him not moving but only a little from the head and a lot of eye contact. He was trying to tell me something. I called him to come out from his cage but his couldn’t move. Then i saw his eyes twitching. Heavy breathing.

I knew in my heart at that moment that this would be the last time i see my old friend at home. I called his doctor & lucky they agreed to wait for me to come as it was nearly 8pm. Blood test were run, steroids injected, and meds to reduce his heart contraction were given. Condition was still very bad.

I held him for almost an hour, and decided, it would be better to send him to sleep. Deep down I known Charlie was telling me, don’t worry i’ll still be with you in your dreams. Tears of joy was all i had when i held him and the doctor slowly infused the powerful sedative. We looked at each other till he closed his eyes. He went peacefully with me around him, and I’m happy he has finally moved on.

I wanna thank the lord for giving me such a good friend throughout my childhood. No words could describe how he was meant to me. He had served this family well. Loyal and forever guarding the house, and always taking care of his younger brother, Tommy. (my Labrador). Tommy misses his brother already and has been finding him all over the house. He knows it already i guess.

Charlie will be forever remembered. Thank you boy.

White wine or rather, Vin Blanc in French, is one of my favourite beverage. I just finished two glasses of the Chardonnay variety and thus lead to me writing.

I am not a meat loving person but rather i like foods from the sea. And white wine goes well down the back of your throat with the aroma it brings with it after seafood. I’ve never been a fan of red wine. Maybe because it’s too thick or red or common or the texture.

The aroma is probably what brings me to love white wine. Strong smell of citrus yet pleasant. Of the six/seven varieties, I personally like Sauvignon Blanc white wines, gives the “dry” taste after sipping. Although Chardonnay are the common ones sold.

One more good point about wines compared to spirits (i.e. brandy, another personal favourite) is that you can still maintain composure and know what you are doing after drinking.

White wine goes well with the ladies as well.

When all these are intact, the people will generally be grateful and vote the correct party/candidate for their respective locations. Any party as long as they can perform, they have the mandate.

Now, we see that Najib is struggling to win back the people’s confidence for the BN government. I am politically neutral. I look at my constituency candidates quality there and then, not famous profiles. I mean, our PM is doing all this for the benefit of our country. Lets face the fact, being a PM is no easy task. And why would he wanna harm his own country? He can just retire off and spend his fortunes. He could even have avoided politics in the first place and live life to the full, being the son of a former PM.

Well, back to my main point, Politics from a Citizen point of view. As a citizen, I think that the PM is a great guy but with a wrong group of lousy generals. It is like continuing chess game from another player (Badawi) who had left it for you abruptly and left you with a bad hand.

Before Malaysia reaches to the stage like Thailand, where Red Shirts/Yellow Shirts/Pheu Thai/ Democrats and all that colour politics, we have to think how the citizens think. Not how politicians think. Majority citizens don’t care which political party you are. We care for job availability. Buying safe goods. Equality. NO corruption. Safety. Good economy. Education. Health access.

If you can’t provide these but other countries with similar economic status can, wave bye bye to your votes. I mean, what’s the harm in changing government? If you under perform, let other people have a chance.

Why stop Bersih rally? It’s for free elections! It’s not seditious? It’s not religious? It’s not even about overthrowing the government. See, when you catch people who are exercising their rights the RAKYAT is watching.

The RAKYAT hold the biggest power in putting the fire out in you guys. You can do all you want now, but wait till elections, you guys shall bite the dust.

You had your heyday. But that has been long gone.We want fresh faces. New ideas. Old guys to move their arses out. OMG just look at our pathetic minister line up. It’s like a musical chair game. Recycle here, recycle there.

Just look at the pathetic Gerakan Party. Their president smiling away and would even go to other party’s AGM but not attend their own problems, lucky that didn’t happen. Their party lost EVERYTHING in Penang. Still their president went through the back door to get a minister position but not to strengthen his party grassroots.

Lucky MIC is gaining a little momentum. Lucky Mr. Samy Vellu left. OMG, people hated him so much, yet he smiles in front of the camera and says the “people love me”.

Lets not even start with MCA. Tainted president, members in-fighting, name calling, fractions, grasshoppers, scandals, uneducated leaders.

PPP? OMG. That Kayveas is still there. When i was in primary school he was there. When i was in secondary school he was there. When i’m in university he’s still there.

Our ministers are really odd. Their occupation don’t fit to their portfolios.

Just look at our tourism minister, a doctor in tourism? OMG, she seems to fly more than the DPM. I see her face more than i see the DPM’s face in the newspaper.

Sigh, politics is like a diaper. The more you change the better. The longer you keep it, the dirtier it gets.

Anyway, i’m tired of ranting already. Just my 2 cents opinion.

I wanna talk about how to get to the moon. Literally.

This is because I had made a deal.

Now, the options i have:

1. $100 Million, per person, under Space Adventures as a space tourist based in Arlington USA.

2. Join NASA, Russian Version of NASA, or China Version of NASA.

3. Be good friends with Richard Brandson.

4. Befriend a rocket scientist and make him build a space shuttle for me.

5. Go to the beach, look at the moon and BRING SOME WINE.

No.5 sure looks like a great option.

Imagine doing this every morning. Clean your face, apply concealer, lay the foundation, colour your eye brows, apply eye-liner, apply mascara, apply blush and FINALLY apply the lipstick. And this is just the basic steps.

Why go for all the trouble when what ALL men really want is for you to take it all off???

It is actually not for men to see. It’s for their own SPECIES! Women wear make up to show to other women how good they look like. No woman wants to look like a plain laywoman when their friend who is also another plain laywoman looks like a queen.

I don’t even feel like shaving daily. Put on shaving cream, clean the razor and shave. Three simple steps only and i have already find it tiring. Make up? I would die……lol, I can’t even wake up in time to beat the traffic let alone wake up 2 hours ahead to look like a peacock.

So the competition is basically amongst women themselves. Make up needs skill and practice.

The problem is, after you get married, you would not have make up on at night do ya?

So that is why they say…. the real nightmare comes only after marriage.

First things first, i organised with MUPhaS to an orphanage last week. This is an all girls orphanage btw. Don’t you see how a small act of just visiting them and playing games with them makes them happy??? We had sought some sponsors and brought some good to their homes, giving them daily supplies.

Now, going on to give back to the society means improving you karma. Honestly. You wouldn’t want to die in hell later. It’s doesn’t neccessarily have to be for humans. You can give back to animals as well.

Next, I wanna talk about a region in a part of the world. The Middle East. Our Middle Eastern brother have FINALLY come to their senses that THEY the civillians are the superior ones. NOT the government. After being led by the nose with a string for so long. 20 years, 32 years, 40 years….. omg, where is the democracy? Libya, Yemen, Egypt, Syria, Tunisia…etc. They actually have two sides. The good people are led by the nose by government officials. The religious fanatics are led by the horns by Al Qaeda.

It seems kinda strange isn’t it? Which boils back down to Malaysia. Why have the Malaysians be told what they can or cannot do by the government? Of course if it’s illegal then it’s wrong… but we’re talking about education. Food. Religion. Books. Do you think our education system is good? The govenrment sure think it is. Do you think our food is safe? The government says it is. Do you think that what book we read is also a matter of concern to the government? The government is GOOD. But the people running them are BAD.

Why is it that when you open tap water from Japan (or many other countries fyi), water can be directly drank but you can’t in Malaysia? -It’s not rocket science technology that Japan has and Malaysia doesn’t. Japan has pipes. Malaysia has none? Japan has pumps. Malaysia got no pumps? Japan has water. Malaysia got quadruple the amount. But why can’t we have clean water to drink? Rather why can’t we have CLEAR looking water rather than brown….?

Why is it that every (developed) country has bullet trains. We don’t have. Every country has subways. We don’t have. Every country has equal opportunities. We don’t have. Healtcare system….lets not even talk about that. Quality control. Malaysia has one of the worst in all the countries i have been. Fake eggs??????? WTF? Yes, it was made in China but how on earth did it get to our shores??? Again, we go back to our custom officers and ill mindset civillians.

Is our country THAT poor? We have multi-national corporates around the world. We have giant airliners. We have petroleum. We have skilled work force.

It’s back to the management. Why we got no clean drinking water? Because the pipes are rusty on the way to our homes. Why is it not changed? Was it because someone said it changed the pipes they but did not? Work a penny, charge a dollar. Sounds familiar?

I hope as a first step towars change, the Sarawakians know what to do for their coming state elections. You can’t win them, but at least deny the two thirds majority.

Like i said, the policies are good, but the people running them are lousy.

A total revamp is needed.

It’s good that you have fresh blood and fresh ideas when you have run out of yours and when yours don’t work anymore.

It’s spring here in Tokyo, and it is about the temperature of 5-degrees daily. Today it’s 6-degrees. I’m flying home tonight! And school has already started… T.T

This year’s holiday, in 3 months, I have visited Australia, China, India, Sarawak, Thailand & Japan. The places covered Melbourne City, Box Hill, Chadstone, Seymour, Glen Waverly, Si Chuan, Jiu Zhai Gou, Er Mei, Delhi, Agra, Kashmir, Jaipur, Chennai, Rajastan, Kuching, Miri, Mulu, Gua Mulu, Hat Yai, Songkhla, Tokyo, Omura, Nagasaki, Fukuoka, Hakata, Takenotsuka, Ureshino, Akihabara, Shinjuku, Harajuku, Jujo, Ikebukuro & Ueno ……

Anyway, i will stay put for the next few months to come.

Mulu is a Malaysian forest reserve rich with Limestone Caves, wild animals & beautiful scenery. I took a flight from KLIA (MAS) to Kuching, then transfer flight to Miri (MAS), stayed a night at Miri and another transfer to a smaller plane from Miri (MAS-Wings) to Mulu the next day.

This is Mulu airport. Small but really neat one. The first flight was cancelled so i had to stay a night at Miri. *A piece of advice, plan loads of free time on your schedule as Mulu always rains thus airplane can’t see runway and can’t land. Thus flight cancel.

Checked into the Royal Mulu Resort. Not bad. But lack a little enthusiam in food variety and room service. They have a cultural dance show while dinnner is being serve every night at 8pm.

This is the view of the resort. All are built on stilts which are hoisted 6ft above the ground. The rooms were splendid.

After checking, time to start trekking. But first, off to lunch…..by boat. My “Rolce Royce” here it comes!haha.

Had lunch at a village restaurant. Not bad. All planted by themselves. This church was beside the restaurant. Most of them are Penan-s…who are Bahasa Malaysia speakin Christians.

After lunch, head to Deer Cave for bat sight seeing,…. In my hired “limousine” owned by the restaurant owner who is also the driver.

Gunung Mulu national park.

This is the bat observatory area and also the entrance to the deer cave. It was a healthy 8km hike TO THE ENTRANCE of the deer cave. No pictures along the way as it was pouring heavy rain and i was wearing a raincoat and all drenched. No pictures of things in this cave as well as it was also raining from water above the cave into the cave.

The cave was about 5km of stair climbing. And another 8km hike out of the reserve.

The next day is to the clear wind cave and some other cave. Access to the cave is only via river. Andy in the picture.

Long houses of the Penans along the way. It was a 15 minute and coincidentally 15 horse power ride to the cave foothill.

That’s Gunung Api where the cave is located. Had to track by foot.

After that cave, went to another cave, dunno what’s the name by boat.

You need rangers with you all the time! Clear Water Cave is a staggering 189km long!!!!! You will get lost in the cave itself!!

Inside is really beautiful. With heaps of satelites, insects and bats. The park ranger explains of the formation of the these sharp rocks due to phyto-something bacteria inside them.. Got more pictures of the cave to upload. Wait till i resize them first…

This is a local clinic. Attended by a medical assistant. Not a medical officer. Above are the long houses seen while hiking along the way and the pathway.

Above is the only school available in Mulu. Secondary they have to move out i guess. Access to this school is mainly by boat! How cool is that…..

Mulu is all great. Things that you should be reminded of are raincoats, torchlights!, caps, really tough shoes (loads of walking and hiking), mosquito repellant and some form of entertainment.

Basically no internet access…only in the resort at a stagerring RM35 per hour. Not much of astro and tv, very blur coverage but you’ll have loads of free time to think and walk with nature in this lovely isolated area in Sarawak.

On the final day, was supposed to fly off at 10am in the morning but flight delayed as the plane can’t land. Waited for the next plane to come at 3.15pm and hope that it will not be fully booked as the next connecting flight from Miri-Kuching-Kuala Lumpur was at 4.10pm. Lucky not fully booked and able to to reach Miri airport at 4.05pm and took the flight out of Miri. Such a relief as to not stay another night in Mulu.

All in all, Mulu is really REALLY fully much recommended for thrill seekers and hiking lovers.

Don’t get me wrong. I love Andy Lau. He’s really good. Versatile and professional.

He can play police, villain, romantic guy, monk, teacher, chef, gangster, comedian, lawyer, playboy, tycoon, beggar, martial artist, warlord, detective…. hell he might be even acting as an actor!

Andy Lau no doubt is one of the most versatile actors and adapts very fast. He’s the ambassador for Osim btw. Before the movie i was at Osim sitting on a sample massage chair with a HUGE portrait of him in front of me who looks like a multi-millionaire and the next thing he’s a monk in the cinema.

He’s good to watch but too much of Andy Lau just makes me confuse on other roles i’ve seen him before in other movies. I think that he should retain his credibility by choosing movies that have significance remembrance of him rather than be an actor of any sorts..

Actors like Johnny Depp, Daniel Craig, retain their wanted-ness by only acting in certain roles.

Even the likes of Bee Gees was once so bored of when their hit song kept hitting the number one spot every week. People got sick of them but after they took a break, they were a hit again! Even Michael Jackson had the same problem.

Well, who am i to say that to Andy Lau!!! Just food for thought.

This is Terry. My 6 month old ginger cat. (Big size for a 6 month old, Large Breed)

He is real fun! ……at the start when he sees you…….. but then play a while more he starts to scratch.. then i lock him back in his HUGE bungalow cage.

Then he  starts his asshole meow meow meow (let me out i’ll be goood). Then I leash him and play play play…. then bite and scratch me again!

Basically, he loves to play! And fight! Male cats, it’s in the blood.

The Taj Mahal. Constructed by emperor Shah Jahan as a tomb for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, that died after giving birth to their 14th child (no wonder she died). It took 21 years to build and 20,000 men across India to completed this magnificient structure of white marble.

There was supposed to be another Taj Mahal for himself, which is black in colour, but his son stopped the building of it as he thought was a waste of money, imprisoned his father and killed his three elder brothers to be the King. So if the black Taj Mahal were to be completed, we would have TWO Taj Mahals, one of white marble and the other probably of ebony position across the river.

Truly a magnificient structure. No wonder it’s one of the seven wonders of the world.

See, 80% of the world’s Ailuropoda Melanoleuca is located in Sichuan, let alone China. Only about 1500 are still alive today and 900 of it is in captivity.

Better known as the Panda.

Now.. why does a bear which has strong molar teeth and big body eat mostly on bamboo? Well, it is because of habitat. They were isolated in the bamboo strongholds and thus resorts to them to nutrients. Adaptation.  Pandas eat 20 to 40 pounds of bamboo each day – to get all its nutrients. They spend 10 to 16 hours a day foraging and eating. Since they have a very very lousy digestive system, what they eat usually comes out and they eat constantly to achieve their nutrient needs.

Here in chengdu, they have a research centre and panda visiting area.

In there, they have adult pandas, sub adult and cubs. I witnessed the cubs being fed – milk. There were around 8 cubs playing in the nursery. Too bad no pictures were allowed.

Discovered by Pere Armand David, a French missionary, in 1869, the panda (renamed by him – earlier known as the pot eating beast in china) is then known to the world. With it black eyes and ears and layered fur, no wonder people adore them.

Why are panda’s facing extinction? First, they can only eat around 10 species of bamboo – out of the 300 over species. Second, they are solitary animals – only meeting to mate thus less protection unlike in a group when faced with danger. Third, their habitat is slowly diminishing.

Fourth reason  – The newborn baby. The gestational period is about 140 to 160 days – around 4 months. And the panda newborn is just about the size of the palm excluding the fingers. Like a small naked rat. This is definately premature in the human point of view but this is as long as a panda can carry. In the wild, newborns would be harder to reach their teens – alive. Thus leading to their dwindling numbers.

Do your part to help. Reduce carbon emission.

Even the World Wildlife Foundation uses the Panda as their logo.

You’ll learn a lot about pandas at the research centre, do drop by yourself to personally learn about pandas one day.

Anyway, she stank. Literally. Why do fat people stink? Well, this only applies to really fat people. Here is the story. It was okay at the beginning of the 8 hour flight to Kuala Lumpur. Then as the hours passed, and the ventilation starts to get a little stuffy, a lipophilic sense of smell starts lurking. Immediately i knew it was the fat lady an aisle beside me. Imagine the smell of sweat+fat+socks+shoes, for close to 8 hours. Period.

Well, not to stereotype. I do have fat friends who DON’T stink and skinny friends who stink, but really, fat people do stink a little. My assumption is that when a particular part of your skin do not get any air/ventilation, that particular area starts to sweat and BO start lurking (body odour). Especially under their “rolls” and “rolls” of tyres and sandwiches. Geddit?

And that poor lady, who was seated beside that fat lady, must have suffered a lot. First her seat was 15% intruded, the BO must have killed her and the fat lady just kept on talking for 8 hours.

Fat people or rather oversized or people who are prone to sweating should regularly apply deodorant. Seriously.

And oversized people should go first class or pay for 2 seats for intruding other people’s seat as we not so fat people also paid the same amount of money to enjoy our trip.

I might sound mean but the bottom line is that being fat brings you no good at all from a healthcare point of view, financial point of view, social point of view and transportation point of view. So, stay away from being REALLY FAT (OBESE).

Don’t turn down this good advice.

Prescription:

• Bactrim Syrup, M 100ml, sig 5ml b.d.

• Demazin Syrup, M 50ml, sig 5ml qid

Here’s the thing. Obviously the prescription looks weird. But the funny part comes at the end, just follow on.

First of all, the baby is allergic to Sulfur. Bactrim consists of = Sulfomethaxazole + Trimethoprim

Thus, it has sulfur in it and the baby is allergic. As for Demazin, the syrup is usually for 2 yo and above as the dose is too high for a 6 month old baby.

So lets talk about allergy. What happens during allergy? Mast cell release Histamines & Prostaglandins, which trigger an increase blood flow due to vasodilation of blood vessels causing an inflammatory response. Then itch, rash, and all comes.

So the logical answer is to change Bactrim to another drug to treat Young Peter’s upper respiratory tract infection because Peter is allergic to sulfur which will cause. Demazin is to cure his cold symptoms. His demazin has to be changed to nasal drops to btw, too high of a dose.

Now, this is where the silly part of mine comes in. Demazin is an nasal decongestant. But it also acts as an anti-histamine…. So what does anti histamines do? Inhibit mast cells from producing them. So for me, the logical thing is to keep the Bactrim eventhough Peter is allergic to it because Demazin is there to inhibit the response.

Well, that is just the logic behind this trickery lingering behind my head. Anyway, it is obviously wrong. First, it is not administered concurrently, second, it is best to change drugs as we don’t know how much of a severity of Peter’s allergic response to sulfur is. Just Food For Thought.

Why should you give a toy?

• Imagine yourself in the kid’s positions
• Buat baik dibalas baik
• If you were the kid, would you want a New toy or a Used toy?

So this is the case, i feel like the other side of the dam. All that water released from that dam has reached me in a short time. Damned dam.

Now, i have to pay RM1.00 for my roti canai. RM1.30 for my teh tarik, mind you it’s the second time this year already sugar price had gone up. Chicken rice gonna be RM5.50. My Ice Kacang gonna be RM 4.00 now. Pumping petrol would be a sad thing to do now too. Cooking maggie mee is also saddening now. I drink milo at home now got to put less or no sugar. Baskin Robbins gonna charge more for ice cream. All this while my salary still remains the same.

So who are we to blame? Government bankrupt because paying for subsidies, then bankrupt la. I pay taxes wan mar, they were meant for me to enjoy subsidies.

Or why is PERKASA not crying foul now? It affects Melayu as well. And i think the most, if not. If theoritically PERKASA demands 60% of the nation’s wealth, they should be de-subsidised 60% as well, they should pay more for sugar and diesel and petrol since you are majority ma, should pay more if you want more. Subsidies also distribute quota-lly.

Common sense la, where can do like that rite. Everyone is equal. We don’t do that cuz we know it’s wrong. So are you PERKASA for demanding what you don’t earn, 60% of the nation’s wealth. How can the rest 30% work and give you 60+% our money? It’s like 1 person working for 3 person’s income. You wanna get rich, do it the traditional way, WORK!

Anyway, the price increase is a neccessity as well as we don’t want our beloved country to go down like Greece. But subsidies can be cut from elsewhere like for companies and others. They should find their own way in surviving.

For example Petronas should stop providing sudsidies to Tenaga Nasional, the IPPs (independent power producers) and the industrial sector. Do they distribute back to the rakyat when they earn? So why use the rakyat’s money to help them with no return?

Cut more on “irresponsible and wasteful” spending and leave the price hike as a last resort, let the Rakyat benefit first.
